I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
